A Hard Truth – From Someone Who's Lived Through It

All politics aside, we’re heading into disastrous times—and this should be a lesson for everyone, no matter what side you’re on. The fact is, too many people vote with their hearts instead of their heads.

Whether it’s anger, hate, love, optimism, or fear… emotions are driving votes. But emotions don’t build stable economies or keep food on the table. We need to vote for whoever will make the country better—four years at a time. Not based on feelings, but based on facts, qualifications, and proven capability.

I know people are divided. Some hate, some praise. Yet, let’s not forget—this administration is led by a 6-time bankrupt, convicted felon. If this were a stranger, you wouldn’t trust them to house-sit, much less run a nation.

We judge people every day based on their history. We pick friends, jobs, and relationships based on character. Yet people in government bureaus voted for someone who openly promised to dismantle the very departments they work for. Would they have voted the same if they’d seen the writing on the wall?

Would you still support the tariffs if you knew how deeply they'd hurt your wallet?

Let me be clear: It’s okay to feel betrayed. It’s okay to have regret. That’s how con men work—they sell you the dream and leave you holding the bag. This man cheated on all his wives, including one who was pregnant, and still won’t own up to anything—even with proof right in our faces.

And don’t forget—Reagan was beloved across party lines. Republicans, Democrats—people lived their best lives in the 80s. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t chaos. Today? We’re spiraling. And unless we open our eyes, history will repeat itself.

Even in 1930s Germany, many supporters felt regret after seeing what Hitler truly became. The resentment came fast—and we’re seeing that same resentment now. It’s real. And I want you to know: I feel your pain. It’s okay. We all must learn. The pain doesn't have to continue if we act now.

The first step? Set aside the politics. Just say: enough is enough. Because the stock market crash is just the beginning.

Let me remind you: I lost everything in the Great Recession. I was homeless. And in the middle of that downfall, I created what you now know as Sigil Occult Jewelry. I built this from rock bottom. I know what it looks like when the economy crumbles. I fear we’re close to seeing that again.

I’m already preparing to keep costs low and this business running, but the question remains—for how long?

Here’s some history to chew on: The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act—passed a year after the Great Depression started—turned a recession into a full-blown depression. It worsened everything. Tariffs passed on to you and me, not to the companies or countries they’re meant to punish. You’re the one paying the price.

We aren’t untouchable. The world doesn’t need us like we think. They’ll trade amongst themselves if they must. The only reason they come to us is because we consume like no one else.

This is Economy 101. It’s not about “bringing back manufacturing.” It’s about knowing who pays the bill when leaders don’t understand history. And it’s US.

Take it from me—this is bigger than jewelry. I’m also an investor. I’ve seen how this plays out.

So what now?

We vote for qualified people. Period. Party lines mean nothing if the country burns. People are literally treating Trump like a deity. That’s madness. And if you know anything about me or what I stand for, then you know how I feel about false idols.

Let’s do better. Let’s be smarter. Let’s not let history repeat itself again—because this time, the fall might be worse.
