PRIME DAY IS COMING.
Amazon's PRIME DAY July 12-13
You can start buying from our limited listings on Amazon starting July 12th. This is what we are doing with Amazon and what we intend to do with our site too.
Amazon
First, there's already some discounts on some listings running for the month. On July 12th, some other listings will be slashed too. Some listings will have discounts through JULY 15th! Not bad right?
Here is some more information I want to share regarding Amazon and for that matter, 3rd Party Seller Platforms. This means, Ebay , Etsy, or what ever platforms you shop in.
Most people do not know that these 3rd party seller platforms take as much as 30% of the gross sales for every item sold. That 30% would include cost of shipping. Even Ebay adds an additional charge to the shipping rate the sellers impose on their listings. These hidden fees are passed on to the buyers, however, for most other hidden fees are taken from the SELLERS.
There's many up and coming sellers putting their art or artisan produced products on platforms like this to gain some exposure and momentum on their items. However, these very sellers often do not realize just how much they are taken for when their items sell. Often times, it cuts into their profit margins so much that the juice is not worth the squeeze for all the effort involved into just creating and listing.
We share this bit of info today to simply inform buyers that if you come across a seller out there with listings on 3rd party platforms, maybe its good to ask if the seller has a website too. I am not sure if Facebook still runs a promotion that allows sellers to list and sell for a few months without taking any fees from items sold through Facebook stores. It's good to ask the sellers if they are also selling on Facebook. These are ways that helps sellers keep more of transaction. In the end, this will keep them motivated and funded to produce another round of items for future listings, especially if this is a favorite seller that you would wan to support.
These days, we have just a limited amount of items we on Ebay and Amazon. We still list a few items however, due to the rising costs of doing business with them, we have limited what we offer. We have multiple reasons but one of the more important ones is simply that the fees are so high that we would have to increase the price on items that you can get for far less on our website.
Most people would suggest to simply list the items for a higher price to make up the difference. We thought long and hard and felt we did not want people to get turned off by the idea of charging more than what is fair for the items. Since we do not own these sites, we cannot change the rules and aside from all that, our site is by far the best. We can do FAR more for customer service than ebay or Amazon can ever do. We can be flexible on how we handle issues with orders. Our reputation runs high and we prefer to keep it that way.

Next I wan to share that we also run specials during PRIME DAYS on Amazon. Funny that they call it PRIME DAY instead of DAYS. Did you know it was just one day a year before. It was a few years ago that they began to extend it for a 2-day event due to its popularity but for some reason, they still simply kept calling it PRIME DAY. There was even talk about having a SECOND PRIME DAY event around the FALL season or rather, the Xmas season. This was before the pandemic hit and since then, the topic was dropped and they were simply trying to work around the pandemic shutdown/slowdown.
Anyway, we also run our own version of PRIME DAY on our website. This year, we are really spreading our wings to expand our creativity with new products. We have created a CLEARANCE page recently and we plan to add more. We trying to pull into new directions on what we can offer and for that, we need to make room for it all. The best way is by offering promotional sales and clearing out the inventory at every chance we get. Amazon Prime Day will be a great opportunity. We already have some items on sale for the month of July PLUS we plan to slash prices even more on other items just for the special occasion. NO CODES NEEDED.
This coming week, we will be discounting items just in time for PRIME DAY. Some of these offers will extend until July 15. It is also likely that we will go even further, yes, til end of July, IF there is a high demand for some items! We are pretty serious about making room for future items we are working on.
As always, we are thankful for the support and we will keep you informed on what we are working on next via our blog posts.
July Newsletter will be going out soon and it will include some of this information too.
